MariaDB Version History
MariaDB is an open-source relational database management system (RDBMS). It was created by the original developers of MySQL due to concerns over the acquisition of MySQL by Oracle Corporation.
MariaDB was initially released in 2009 as a fork of MySQL aimed at ensuring its open-source nature and continued development under a community-driven model. The first stable release was based on MySQL 5.1.
MariaDB 10.0 was a significant release, diverging more significantly from MySQL and introducing features not found in MySQL.
